Are
you looking for a guaranteed issue major medical plan?
If
you are, I have good news and bad news for you.
First, let
me break the bad news to you
Guaranteed major
medical insurance is not generally available in most states. The carriers do not want to write it. There are few guaranteed issue states where everyone gets health insurance (5 states only), but the rates are uniformly high for everyone.
In some states, there are state pools for the uninsurable. However, the rates are high, the deductibles high and in many places, they are dropping the state pools and using Medicaid. The problem with Medicaid is that you need to be practically living in a refrigerator carton to qualify.
Now that I have you totally depressed, let's look at some alternatives to guaranteed issue major medical and who will qualify.
The Good News - To Some of You
Just because you were declined by one company for health insurance, does not mean that everyone will decline you. Tell me the reason for your decline and I will let you know if you have a chance with another carrier.
Major Medical Alternatives
In the event that you cannot obtain full major medical coverage, there some alternatives.
We can combine either
our indemnity or mini-medical plan with supplemental insurance
and give you a plan that in many instances, will give
you health insurance coverage comparable (or come damn close) to a
major medical plan.
All plans are HIPAA
qualified and count as credible coverage (in other words, they
are real health insurance plans), and have large national PPO networks.
You can "stack" or combine our mini-medical plan with any of our indemnity plans. The combination can be further enhanced with our XTRA plan which adds another $500 a day for hospitalization and a guaranteed issue, lump sum, $25,000 critical illness plan.
The important thing to remember is that coverage on a guaranteed issue basis is available. There is no reason to go without health insurance.
