Insurance Plans with Maternity Coverage
Available in All 50 States
Maternity
insurance is very difficulty to obtain. Most health insurance
carriers have either eliminated maternity riders or make them
very expensive. Even when they are available, they are often
limited and have waiting periods of a year or more.
However,
we have some limited health insurance plans that cover maternity
the same way they cover other medical situations. They can be
used as standalone health insurance or added to your existing
plan. They are NOT maternity plans. We offer health plans that
also cover maternity.

page. Our number is 800-272-0512 and we are available from 9
am to 8 pm EST.
There are two
different plans that you can use. Remember, there are no waiting
periods. You can buy the plan one month and have a baby 9 months
later.
HealthMax
Indemnity Plan - This plan is what is known as
an indemnity plan. It pays out specific amounts based on
an expense. As is the case with all of our plans it does
have limitations. This plan is $305 a month.
Of
interest to those of you who will use the plan for maternity.
The following benefits are of interest. Please keep in mind that this is NOT maternity insurance and that these benefits are paid out for all eligible conditions:
| Physician
Office Visits |
Seven
at $100 each for a total of $700 |
| Diagnostic
Lab Tests |
Five at $400 each for a total of $2,000. This is for a diagnostic test and not part of a well-visit checkup. |
| Hospital
Stay |
$3,000
the first day and $1,000 for each additional day. A
two day stay for normal delivery would pay you $4,000
and four days for a c-section $6,000. |
| Surgical
Fee |
the
plans pays 100% of Medicare reimbursement rates plus
25% for anesthesia. Special conditions must be met to receive the surgical benefit. We do not have access to Medicare's national reimbursement schedule. Please ask your physician for this information. |
| PPO
Access |
Everything
is re-priced by the PPO. You will get significant discounts
on physician and hospital fees. |
Using
the HealthMax plan, you could potentially receive approximately $5,000 for a normal delivery and up to $8,000 for a c-section.
Plus, everything would go through the PPO network. You do
not have to negotiate with the hospital to get the lowest
rates.
Generally, when using a PPO
for re-pricing, a normal delivery, including pre-natal visits
will run between $6,000 and $8,000. A c-section, between
$8,000 and $10,000. This is my estimates based on feedback from clients. You must check with your providers for accurate information.

this is the plan. The PPO repricing alone almost makes it
worthwhile.
