Maternity Coverage

Maternity insurance can be difficult to find. Most health insurance carriers have either eliminated maternity riders or make them very expensive. Even when they are available, they are often limited and have waiting periods of a year or more.

However, we have some limited health insurance plans that cover maternity the same way they cover other medical situations. They can be used as standalone health insurance or added to your existing plan.

They are NOT maternity plans. There are no dedicated, standalone products that are specifically for maternity. But ours come close.

We offer three different plans that will cover maternity. Remember, there are no waiting periods. You can drop the plans anytime you wish.

A Cost Effective Way to Cover a Pregnancy

A mini-medical plan pays out according to a schedule. I am not going to repeat how these plans work since you can read about it in our 2 Minute Guide to Maternity plans.

Our best mini-medical or limited benefit plan is the SureCare Plus. It is available in all states EXCEPT: CA, NY, NJ, CT, VT, MA, ME,OR, ID, KS, SD, MN, UT and OH. The Platinum plan is also excellent and a bit cheaper.

If you live in: CA or Ohio, use one of our NPX plans. They are very similar. The link for these plans is: Pregnancy Coverage. After clicking on the link, scroll down until you see the NPX plans.

Already Pregnant

If You Are Already Pregnant, you can still obtain the NPX plans. They are available in all states EXCEPT: AK, CO, CT, GA, KS, LA, ME, MA, MN, MT, NJ, NY, NC, OR, SD, UT, VT, WA.

If you are pregnant it pays to get the NPX4 since you will definitely use all the benefits it offers. The direct link for this is: Already Pregnant Coverage. Of course you can buy the NPX 1 - 3 as well.

A Low Cost Plan to Help With Maternity Costs

If you are on a tighter budget, our Fusion2 plan is a good bet. It will provide $600 a day for hospitalization, $50 for up to 5 office visits and the BeechStreet PPO discount network. This plan is only $97 a month.
